Home sweet home.

The long awaited tour of our house is available below. Although there is a video that has been made, I am unable to upload it to the website. Apparently, the bandwidth is unable to handle this large task. Alas, this will have to do. We took a picture of each room.

Welcome to our Home

This is the entrance into our house. You enter from the backside of our house through the kitchen.

These two pictures are of our kitchen. I definitely appreciate and use all the counter space.

This is our dining room/internet connection space. The only place they could connect the internet into the house was through our dining room wall. So the dining table doubles as an internet workspace.

If you turned around in the spot where I took the dining room you would look into this room, which will some day be a sitting room with furniture. The double doors open to our front veranda.

This room is the first room as you walk down the hallway. Currently, we use it as an office.

This is our squatting toilet, a very common feature (we are told) in traditionally built Indian homes.

This is our full bathroom.

This is a second spare room in which we currently store extra mattresses and blankets.

This is our bedroom.

All of our furniture came with the house. We hope this tour has provided you with a small window into our life in Chipata.

We look forward to updating more regularly. We had some trouble with picture sizes that we have finally resolved.

Prayer Requests:
1) That God would help us as we continue to try and learn Nyanja (the local language).
2) Next Friday, November 28,(at 7am EST) CBI (Christian Business with Integrity) is having a vision planning session for the future. They have worked hard to pay back savings and now they are trying to start over in January. God is moving mightily in this project, so we ask you to pray that a vision for the Kingdom of God would be the center of the next phase and that it would be a catalyst for transformation in Chipata. Pray also for the right leaders to rise up.
