strength WILL rise

"...Strength with rise as we wait upon the Lord..."
Where are we?

Kyle and I continue our trek in visiting friends and family. We have been to Holland for a conference with Partners Worldwide (May 8-9). It was a wonderful conference and offered us the opportunity to connect with North American Team Leaders (volunteers that are the chosen leaders of a North America Affiliate that is linked to an Affiliate in another country). In our case, we met the the North American Affiliate that works with the Zambia projects. He and his team are from Washington State. It was a delightful event and offered Kyle and I an inside perspective at how the Lord is working through Christian Business people around the world. It is an honor to see the Lord at work!

After Holland we stayed in Chicago a few days before traveling to visit my 85 year-old grandfather...a truly incredible man. We enjoyed good food and entertaining stories from WWII, a truly fascinating time in history

Currently, we are visiting my parents in the Detroit, Michigan area. Our schedule has filled up fast and we eagerly anticipate visiting with supportive friends and family. This trip here has also enlightened us to yet another reason for our delay in the States. Kyle's dentist appointment yesterday revealed that he is in need of a wisdom teeth removal. Due to the our constant travel we worried we would not be able to find someone to take him at such short notice. We prayed about it last night and this morning when Kyle contacted the surgeon they were able to schedule him for a removal THIS Saturday, May 24. What an answer to our prayers! So that will also be part of our stay in Detroit.

The Office and the VISA

Kyle continues to be in contact with the Grand Rapids Partners Worldwide office planning and coordinating various plans for when we move to Zambia. He is also working on a document that lays out the process of transferring responsibility for the PWW Zambia projects from the CRWRC to Kyle. Our VISA application was officially submitted May 8 and we continue to wait on that. We pray that a response will arrive by mid-June though we cannot know for sure.

Strength
As we continue to seek the Lord in this time we have difficult moments of discouragement and other moments of excited anticipation. But through it all we sense the peace of Christ dwelling within us and leading us to know the Lord more deeply and to rely on Him for strength. There is a deeper strength that grows within us when we wait upon the Lord. Isaiah 40:31, But those who HOPE (wait) in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Prayers
1. Kyle's wisdom tooth extraction will be successful with no complications (May 24).
2. Our VISA application will be approved quickly that we can prepare to move to Zambia soon.
3. For us to be strengthened and prepared for work in Zambia during this time of waiting.
